LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Britney Spears’ 16-year-old sister, who stars as a schoolgirl in Nickelodeon’s popular TV show “Zoey 101,” is pregnant.
The cable channel confirmed a report in the forthcoming edition of celebrity gossip magazine OK! that Jamie Lynn Spears is expecting a child.
“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being,” Nickelodeon said in a statement e-mailed to Reuters.

Jamie Lynn Spears, 16-year-old baby sister of Britney Spears, told OK! Magazine during an interview that she is pregnant, TMZ.com reports.

In the interview, which is scheduled to hit newsstands Wednesday, Jamie-Lynn Spears reportedly tells the magazine the baby’s father is Casey Aldridge, her boyfriend whom she met at church.
TMZ reports Jamie Lynn, star of Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” had not yet told Britney the news that she is expecting.

Reports suggest the father is student Casey Aldridge, who Spears allegedly dumped this summer (07). Jamie-Lynn has told OK! magazine she intends to keep the baby.
