Britney Must Deal with Stench of Not Being a Mensch
The trouble Britney has been facing has increased today when she was charged with two misdemeanors.
The lady who was upset over Britney’s lack of being a mensch has pressed charges over the car incident that occurred on August 6 of this year.
The charges are:
1) hit and run driving, causing damage to property
2) operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Wow! Britney Spears was driving without a license? I wonder how they found out, since she was not stopped at the time, it being a hit-and-run and all.
Was an investigation made after the fact where they asked to see her license? Did they read her Miranda rights? The Fifth Amendment guarantees us the right not to incriminate ourselves. Her lawyer should look into this to determine how they discovered that she didn’t have a license.
And if she doesn’t have a license, what doe she use for ID? How would anyone know who she is?
For both counts she could receive up to a max fine of $1000 and a maximum amount of time in jail of six months, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office spokesman, Nick Velasquez.
Kim Robard-Rifkin, the victim of the hit-and-run, was quoted in August as saying, “I simply want my car fixed, the same as I would fix somebody’s car if I had done that.”
Well that’s nice to say when the shoe’s on the other foot, and we’re sure you are a perfect mensch yourself, Ms. Robard-Rifkin (do Mensch’s keep both names when they get married? Isn’t that rather selfish and not fulfilling the definition of “Mensch”? Or egotistical unless you have career, such as an author, who has a genuine reason to benefit from keeping a known name?), but remember, this is Los Angeles. Britney’s hit-and-run behavior was probably learned from experiences with other L.A. drivers who think nothing of hit-and-runs as long as nobody sees the accident. Heck, in L.A. it may not even be an accident. You might have just made the offending driver jostle their headset and brought their full fury against yourself.
Anyway, if this lady “simply want(s) [her] car fixed”, why have charges been pressed as a result of the police report she filed on August 9?
Things are about to get more interesting than ever in Britney’s life, as this adds to the recent requirements that Britney undergo random alcohol and drug tests twice a week. She must also attend parent counseling with Kevin Federline.
